P7s Attend Cullybackey College‘s IN-O-V8 Day

13th Jan 2024

Our Primary 7s had a fantastic morning at Cullybackey College’s IN-O-V8 Day on Friday. We started the morning with a very informative demonstration from W5.  We learned about what happens when acids and bases are mixed.  We also got to see how different substances cause flames to burn in different colours.

After break, we joined some of the teachers from Cullybackey College in their classrooms where we learned how banknotes are verified as real, how we make glow sticks glow more brightly and how electrical currents are conducted.  We also learned that we can stand on a tray of eggs without breaking one!

Thank you to the staff and pupils of Cullybackey College for organising the day and making us feel very welcome.  We really enjoyed our visit.

Cullybackey College will hold their Open Nights, for prospective pupils, on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th January.
