P5WS in ABBA mode!

13th Sep 2021

Today was our first Charanga music lesson in Primary 5WS and imagine our surprise and delight when we discovered that our topic is the music of ABBA. Today we had lots of fun looking at the song Mamma Mia. We discussed what genre of song we thought it was, whether or not we liked it and all the different instruments that we could hear being played.

Then we had a chat with Miss Service about the pulse and rhythm of the music. We followed this up with a game where we had to move to the pulse by copying the movements of various characters onscreen.

To to finish up our lesson we had a go at singing along with the song. We all knew the chorus very well but would need a little more time to get familiar with the verses. You can have a listen in the short video below.

We all want to have another go tomorrow!
