P4JC Eco Day Fun 🪴 🌱 🌿 🌎

28th Apr 2023

Today was Eco Day. We came to school dressed in Green and had great fun all day. First we made our own Bug Hotels out of milk cartons, cardboard tubes and tubes made out of newspaper. Then we planted Sunflower seeds in the greenhouse. After lunch we went on a nature walk around school. We looked for birds and minibeasts, saw some tadpoles in the Quiet Garden and went down the hill to see the Hedgehog House. We went to the Play Park and then helped to plant our two garden boxes before hometime. They are Coronation themed, one of the River Thames in London and the other is 'Bugingham Palace' - a minibeast friendly box linked to our new topic Its a Bug's Life! We had a great day - have a look at some of our photos!
