Eco Day in P2EG 🌻

26th Apr 2024

Today for Eco Day we all wore green. This year the focus was pollinators and we chose to learn all about bees. Our class were focusing on the Red-Tailed Bumblebee. We spent the week creating our bees using some recycled and natural materials. This morning we had a special assembly, then we came back to class and made some bees out of playdough. We then went outside to our garden box. We had to clear the stones out and then planted some bulbs, plants and seeds. We planted special flowers for the bees so we hope that lots of them will come to our box and enjoy the lovely flowers. We then placed our bees in the box, don’t they look great?! We spent the rest of the day learning more about bees and going on a nature walk around our school grounds. What a fun and busy day!! All of our activities today link to all aspects of our Take 5 work in school.
