World Book Day Preparations

6th Feb 2025
World Book Day will be celebrated around the globe on Thursday 6th March 2025

World Book Day

We are beginning our World Book Day preparations early this year to give everyone the chance to prepare. Our theme this year is 'vocabulary'.

We are asking all of our children to come to school dressed as a piece of vocabulary, e.g. delicious, energetic, etc.

We are very excited to see the wonderful creations and interpretations of vocabulary on World Book Day! We do not expect anyone to buy a costume, you can create a wonderful invention from items you already have in your house.

Book Exchange

This year for something different, and to tie in with our Eco theme of 'reduce, reuse, recycle', we are going to host a book exchange.

The idea being that children bring in a book/books that they no longer read from home, get a token/s for the books they bring to school, and then get an opportunity to go and choose a 'new' book with their token.

This is a perfect opportunity to clear out some books from home that you no longer read and get a 'new' book with no cost!

Travelling Book Fair

The Travelling Book Fair will be in school from Thursday 6th March - Monday 10th March. Individual class times will follow after our mid-term break.
