World Book Day 2026 - Thursday 5th March

2nd Mar 2026

World Book Day is fast approaching and this year we are organising a few different activities for the pupils in Camphill.

On Thursday 5th March, we will not be dressing up. Instead we will be asking our pupils to bring in a decorated wooden spoon and a picture of themselves reading in a fun or interesting place. Please see attached poster for more details. During class time, the pupils will be taking part in lots of fun activities linked to the theme 'Read Your Way'.

Miss Harris and the Charity Committee have also decided that we will be taking part in ‘ReadOn’, Cancer Fund For Children’s reading initiative.
‘ReadOn’ will take place from Monday the 2nd to Friday the 13th of March. During this time pupils can be sponsored to read more for fun, both at home and in school. This can be anything from comics to poetry and younger children can read with somebody at home or use picture books.

Sponsorship forms will be sent home on Monday the 2nd of March and must be returned with any sponsorship money by Friday the 13th of March.

The pupil who raises the most money will win a £20 ‘One4all’ voucher and all money raised will go to Cancer Fund For Children

We hope that all of our pupils are excited about trying something new this year!
