World Book Day 2019

7th Mar 2019

World Book Day got off to a great start in P1-4 with Mrs. Glendinning’s class taking assembly.  We were treated to a Bible story, listened to her class tell us about their favourite books and we watched a video with animals singing about how fantastic books are. P3 linked their assembly to Article 28 of UNICEF’s convention of the Rights of a child-

Children have the right to an education

P3 explained how some children are denied this Right.

This fitted in very nicely with World Book Day. Many children cannot take having books for granted in the way that we sometimes do. We need to be grateful for the access to education, in such a lovely school, that children at Camphill enjoy.

P4 were delighted when P7RA came down to read to us. Then, after lunch we read to P1FM. Look at the pictures below to see how all classes involved enjoyed this reading experience.
