School Attendance
As a school we continue to place a high importance on excellent attendance and punctuality. These are, of course, good school attendance is linked to positive educational and, consequently, positive life outcomes.

The Department of Education categorise percentage attendance as follows:

Regular – greater than 95%,

At Risk – 94.9% - 90%,

Chronic – 89.9% - 80%,

Severe Chronic - less than 80%.

Average attendance for this school is 96.7%. Parents are reminded of their legal obligation to ensure positive attendance for their son/daughter. At times, absences are unavoidable, e.g. due to significant illness, but parents are requested to avoid term-time holidays, seek to make appointments for your children
outside of school hours and, where possible, avoid random days of absence.

Let's start the year on a positive note - Be In School and on time, punctuality is also important.

Remember 'Everyday is a new beginning, start strong this New Year, work hard and make 2025 your best year yet!'
