WB 27th April Article 12

26th Apr 2020

Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them......

Article 12💫

We are very fortunate in Camphill that pupils  have so many ways of getting their views and opinions heard. Think of our School Council, Eco and Sustrans work and, of course, our RRS steering group.

🌎🌦🗯👫

Children have a right to be heard not just in school but in all areas of life. Adults have a responsibility to take the opinion of children into account and make decisions that are in the best interests of the child/children.

Please have a look at the link below which explains how your voice , as a child, needs certain things to be in place to be heard properly.

Activity Time!

If you would like to, you could complete the activity for your age group.

FS-  Design a card ,or draw a picture , for somebody who is good at listening to you at home.

👩‍👧👨‍👧

KS1- Write a short thank you letter to someone who has listened to you. It could be a relative, a friend , a teacher or anyone who you feel listens to and values your opinion.

💻🗒

KS2- Find our about a child or young person who has made sure their voice was heard. You could choose Greta Thunberg or someone less well known. Write down a few things that you admire about them.

❤️🌅⛰

If you would like to, it would be wonderful if you could post some of your work onto your class page. It is great to see all of the great work going on at home.

Until next week- keep safe and well!
