Take 5 Platinum Award Celebration

5th Jun 2026

Huge congratulations to our pupils and staff!

On Thursday 4th June 2026 Miss Scott was delighted to attend the 'Take 5 Schools Celebration Event' celebrating schools across N.Ireland that are committed to promoting positive mental health and well-being.

Miss Scott, proudly accepted on behalf of the school, a prestigious Platinum award celebrating our school's dedication to the Take 5 wellbeing initiative. This award is the highest level of recognition within the Take 5 Schools Programme.  A big thank you also must go to Mrs McLaughlin in school who champions the Take 5 Programme within school.

The presentation celebration took place at The Galgorm where guest speakers and educators shared new ideas.

The Take 5 programme champions mental health and happiness through five life-changing pillars: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. Through encouraging our pupils and staff to follow the Take 5 approach, we continue to place wellbeing at the heart of school life.

This award is wonderful recognition of the collective efforts of our pupils, staff and wider school community in creating a nurturing supportive and positive school environment.
