Today as a whole school we had a special ‘Take 5’ Day. We started off the day by focusing on ‘Keep Learning’ and we did this by discussing what the 5 different strands of Take 5 are. We also covered this strand by learning a new skill, we all learned how to use an atlas to locate different countries in the world. Next we focused on ‘Give’ by giving each other compliments, we put these into a special 'Jar of Compliments'. This was such a lovely activity and we all enjoyed both the giving and the receiving of compliments. We also covered the strand ‘Give’ by colouring and making personalised bookmarks for each other. We looked at the strand ‘Take Notice’ by going on a walk around the school taking note of our surroundings as we walked and chatted with our friends. Throughout the day we had lots of opportunity to 'Be Active' by completing the Daily Mile and we also went to the hall to do some dance practice for the Colour Run later tonight. Lastly we 'Connected' by having a special Key Stage One Assembly where everyone was presented with a lovely certificate and a medal for taking part in our Fun Sports Day yesterday. What an amazing day from start to finish and we are now all looking forward to more fun at the Colour Run later this evening.
