STEM CLUB - P6/P7

6th Nov 2018

STEM CLUB  P6/P7

(SCIENCE/TECHNOLOGY/ENGINEERING/MATHEMATICS)

WEEK 1 - MATHEMATICS

Fun with fractions?!

Capers with co-ordinates?!

Dilemmas with dice?!

On Monday, Primary 6 & 7 discovered that Mathematics can be both stimulating and entertaining through board games, Fraction Feeder and Doodle Maths.

Topics covered included; Fractions, Mental Arithmetic, Co-ordinates and Time.

P6 girls created mini challenges using Fraction Feeder and also discovered that the often daunting topic of Fractions can be turned into a nail-biting game requiring skill, nerve and a little bit of luck!

Eagle-eyed parents may spot a familiar board game from their childhood, which proved to be the most popular game choice during 'Mathematics' week! (Clue: Co-ordinates!)
