Science Fun in P3SG! 🔥🕯🎈💭

13th Nov 2025

In P3SG we have been learning all about the 'Fire Triangle' and the three elements that fire needs to burn. We discussed the concept of what makes a fair test and predicted what we thought was going to happen during our Science experiment. Then we carried out the experiment using candles and glass jars. We were all very pleased that our predictions were correct and we concluded that fire needs oxygen to burn.

In Science we have also been learning about our lungs. Ezmae tried on a tabard which showed us the location of the lungs and other main organs in the body. We learned that our left lung is smaller than our right lung and also that a person can survive with only one lung!

Then we carried out some fun activities to investigate what air is like. We blew bubbles in water and pumped up balloons and then let them go! It was lots of fun! Take a look at our pictures below.
