School Update - Weds. 18th March @4:45pm

18th Mar 2020

Dear Parent

You may have seen the breaking news that Scotland and Wales have made the decision to close schools. We are awaiting an announcement from the Prime Minister and the NI Education Minister to inform us of their plans for schools in N.Ireland.

In the meantime, we can only plan ahead for the short term and try our very best to keep you all informed of the continually changing developments.

Following consultation with my Chair of Governors we have made the decision that school will be closed to pupils on FRIDAY - we ask you to make your own decision about sending your child to school tomorrow. Whilst we will have provision for your child tomorrow we strongly suggest you consider your family's own situation. School will however close at 1pm for all children who are in school tomorrow. The health, safety and well-being of our pupils and staff along with the wider community is of highest importance.

We will update parents tomorrow on how we plan to issue our HOME LEARNING resources. This will more than likely be on Friday.

I know this is a challenging time for us all and I thank you for your understanding during this crisis - it is of uttermost important that we all stay safe and well.

Kind regards

Mrs K.McMaster
