Following publication by the Department of Education of annual statistics in relation to attendance in schools we are pleased to see our whole school Attendance figure remains in line, if not slightly higher than other local similar sized schools in the area.
The Department of Education regularly updates schools with attendance figures across all sectors and it is noteworthy that there is a very strong correlation between good school attendance and overall academic and other life outcomes, so ensuring that your son/daughter is in regular attendance is vitally important for their future.
The Department of Education tiers are as follows:
Regular – 100 to 95% attendance At risk – 95 to 90% attendance Chronic – 90 to 80% attendance Severe Chronic – 80% or less attendance
