ReadOn! 📚

2nd Mar 2026

This year we are excited to be taking part in ReadOn, a reading initiative in support of Cancer Fund For Children. From Monday 2nd of March until Friday 13th of March pupils will be challenged to read more. This could be picture books, novels, comics, poetry or even listening to stories. You can read more of anything that you enjoy.

How will this work?

  • Pupils will receive a sponsorship form on Monday 2nd of March.
  • They will then have 2 weeks to collect any sponsorship money – every little helps!
  • Pupils then need to bring in their sponsorship form and money by Friday13th of March. They should have their name clearly labelled on the front of their form and their total added up.
  • The child from P1-P7 that has raised the most money will win a £20 All4One voucher to spend. The pupils in each key stage who have raised the most money will also win a small prize.

The Cancer Fund for Children is a fantastic charity that provides support for children, young people and families so that nobody has to face Cancer alone. They support  children in a range of practical ways including providing short breaks for families at Daisy Lodge, a therapeutic centre in Newcastle.

We look forward to supporting such a great cause through reading more and appreciate all donations which will go to the charity.
