Primary 7 Visit to Wrightbus

26th Mar 2025

Today we visited local bus manufacturers, Wrightbus. We are delighted to have renewed our link with the company. We are currently making plans to set up our own companies as part of our Young Enterprise Scheme so it was interesting to hear how the company started and how it has developed over the years.

We listened to a short presentation from Tom and then we got on a bus for a tour of the factory grounds.  We then were guided on a walking tour through the factories where the buses are put together.  We asked some great questions on the way! We were unable to take photos around the factory itself due to security reasons.

We were delighted to share this visit with our friends from Mary Queen of Peace. We had a great morning !

Many thanks to Keri and her colleagues at Wrightbus for making us feel so welcome and for providing snacks and drinks for the children and the teachers!

It was useful to put our Take 5 principles into action: connecting with others, learning, keeping active and noticing our surroundings.  ðŸšŒ
