Primary 3 celebrate Camphill’s 50th Anniversary

23rd Mar 2018

Today Primary 3 had lots of fun. We were celebrating 50 years of Camphill Primary School.

As a school we had a special assembly followed by the planting of bulbs and burial of a time capsule in the school grounds. Primary 3SG made an “All about me” booklet and Primary 3WS made a booklet of “Our favourite toys” to put into the time capsule.

In class we had fun doing lots of different activities connected to the number 50. We tried to estimate the number 50 using cubes and counters; we counted how many star jumps we could complete within 50 seconds; we tried to make 50 different words from the letters of Camphill Primary School; and we walked 50 steps from our classroom to see how far away we could get.

Both classes also worked collaboratively to complete a special 50th anniversary art project. We all printed our fingerprints to make the leaves of the Camphill tree. We are very pleased with our finished picture and hope that everyone will like it.

At the end of the day we all got a special commemorative medal and a piece of cake to take home. What a special day!
