P7BC begin their 'Field of Poppies' Artwork

11th Nov 2020

To celebrate Remembrance Day P7BC began their 'Field of Poppies' artwork by Vincent Van Gogh.

Pupils firstly conducted an Artist Appreciation research task. The class split up into groups and researched who Van Gogh was and what was special about the 'Fields of Poppies'.

P7BC found that Van Gogh likes to put emphasis on the colours in his paintings and how in using vibrant contrasting colours, he is able to render life through colours! He liked to use the brilliant red bloom of the poppies against the bright green.

We can’t wait to show you our finished artwork!
