P7AS Memories

25th Jun 2020

So here we are, at the end of P7 already.  It has not been the year we expected or even wanted but we are now at the end of term and I wanted to share a few of our memories from throughout our year at school with you.  Even though these last three months have been strange and difficult for us all, we must remember all the good things we did together in the first part of P7 and cherish all the good memories of learning, visits and events that we created in 2019-20.

Many of us have taken part in tournaments and competitions both inside and outside school; football, hockey, netball, dancing, STEM, KNex and Road Safety.  There have been festivals and events which the choir have performed at and there have been music exams taken and passed with flying colours.

We’ve had School Council, Eco Committee and Rights Respecting representatives elected and we’ve seen the changes brought about by these groups throughout the year.

We’ve taken trips to The Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh and to Titanic Belfast.  We’ve learned so much from these visits together which have helped us with our topic work and with our knowledge of the World Around Us.

We have sung and we have acted in our production of ‘Lights, Camera, Action.’  We have come to school and we have worked hard on pieces of work and tests.  We have achieved a place in our new schools which will open up a whole new world of experiences and opportunities, which we must grasp with both hands.

We have had time at home, unexpected, but both rewarding and challenging in so many ways and the fact we have got through this time will stand us in good stead for the future.

We have learned to feel gratitude for the very simple things in life like love, family, freedom and friendship.  These are the things that matter.

I have missed completing this year with you all in the normal way; sharing experiences and seeing your faces every day.  I have put together a short movie of some of our photographs from the year and I hope they remind you of all the fun times we have had together.  These are the things we will remember in years to come.

I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you tomorrow so we can say a proper farewell.  You have all of my best wishes for the future, and remember you can come back to visit anytime; we’d love to see you!

Miss Scott x☺️
