As part of our theme, Unsinkable, we were tasked with designing a boat using a square of tinfoil. We had to think about what we learned about buoyancy during our Cartesian Diver experiment in order to model a shape that would float.
We then tested our design to see how many pennies it could hold before sinking. We were allowed three attempts to improve our design to see if we could get our boats to hold more pennies.
