P7AS ‘Each One, Teach One’

22nd Sep 2024

We are getting started with our first theme, ‘ Extreme Earth.’ We had an introduction to some of the natural disasters that can occur on our planet.  In order to find out more about each one, we participated in a learning activity called, ‘Each One, Teach One.’

Each person was given the name of a natural disaster eg. earthquake, tsunami, volcano, tornado. We had a few minutes to find out five facts about our natural disaster on our iPads.

We then drew an outline around our hand and recorded our five facts onto the fingers and thumb on our drawing.  Once we had cut out our drawings, we spent a bit of time going round the room finding someone who had been researching a different natural disaster.  We taught them about our natural disaster and they thought us about theirs.

Hopefully, we now know a lot more about how extreme our planet actually is!
