As part of our Unsinkable topic and our exploration of buoyancy, we carried out some research into the Dead Sea for homework. We found out that the Dead Sea has an extremely high salt content which means no animals can live in the water there but humans can float in it very easily!
We came up with an experiment to prove that objects float more easily in salty water than non-salty water using eggs, water and salt. Take a look at our Dead Sea Float experiment!
