P7AS Body Image Sessions 2 and 3

14th Dec 2018

Last week Lori and Emma came into our classroom to deliver the last two Body Image workshops.  We had to find images of people or things in magazines which we thought were beautiful.  We also participated in a very useful activity where we had a piece of paper attached to our backs and everyone in the class came and wrote one of our positive qualities on it.  When we read the words afterwards many of us were very surprised and delighted by the qualities our peers see in us.

Lori and Emma showed us a short clip about how social media often shows us a very different picture of people’s lives compared to the reality.  We were encouraged to remember that each one of us is unique and special in our own way, and that fact should be celebrated.
