P7AS Begin Children’s Mental Health Week

5th Feb 2024

The theme of Children’s Mental Health Week is, ‘Every Voice Matters.’

We discussed the importance of developing our thoughts, feelings and opinions and sharing these with others in order to help our physical and mental well-being.

Our School Council representatives, and our Rights Respecting School representative, shared their ideas for this week and highlighted Articles 17 and 19 from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.  We have the right to get information that is important to our wellbeing and we have the right to be protected from being hurt.

We are performing our play, Hoodwinked’ this week and we talked about how uplifting singing and acting are and what a boost our shows will give our physical and mental health!
