P7AM Mathematical Mayhem!

20th Oct 2023
On Thursday, as part of Maths Week Ireland, we spent the day celebrating all things maths in class!

We had a special guest, Gordon Montgomery, from MCC Computers who told us about how he uses mathematics daily in his business. He also spoke to us about the type of jobs we could have in the future, which heavily rely on maths, including coding and graphic design!

In the afternoon, we had a practical maths session. During this time we played games, used the Izak 9 cubes, worked together to solve problems and challenged ourselves with difficult logical thinking problems. What a fun day we had!
