P7AM Democracy Week

6th Mar 2025

This week we celebrated Democracy Week. In class we learned about what democracy means and how it impacts on our daily lives. We looked at the importance of having a vote and the voting system within our country.

Alongside other children in Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, we researched some local authors in class. We then had to decide which author was our favourite before casting our secret vote. We will find out soon which author has won.

Article 12 UNCRC:  You have the right to give your opinion and for adults to listen and take it seriously.
