P7 Greenhill Trip - Day 1

20th May 2026

Today we have had an amazing start to our residential. We set off earlier than we had initially planned and were rewarded with a wave from King Charles! We watched his helicopter land in Donard Park and then saw him again in Newcastle town. What an amazing experience! We had our lunch along the sea front and then walked back up to start our outdoor adventures.

We all enjoyed an afternoon outside at various activities. Groups A and B tried their hand at abseiling and climbing, groups C and D were paddle boarding in Newcastle harbour and group E set off to Tollymore Forest to have a go at bouldering.

We are all ready for dinner and looking forward to an evening enjoying the sunshine and a trip to Maud’s!
