P7 Coping with Stress Workshop

10th Nov 2025

Today we learned a lot about how our brains learn and how we can get stressed at times which are challenging, for example, when we are doing a test in school or the SEAG test. Whilst a bit of stress always helps us to perform better, too much stress can leave us feeling overwhelmed.

Paula, our School Counsellor, shared tips for dealing with stress. We can use breathing techniques or muscle scrunching techniques to relieve stress.

We were encouraged to think about creating a plan for before, during and after our SEAG test this weekend and next weekend. Our parents and carers are going to help us think about our plan.  See video below from Paula Spence - School Counsellor.

We know everything we need to know, we just have to keep our thinking brain switched on! ðŸ§
