P7BC perform constraint led Multi Skilled activities

15th Oct 2020

This week during PE, P7BC have been focusing on applying the skills they have learned so far during their multi skills activities. Mr Clarke created a variety of constraint based assessment activities. The purpose of this was to see how the pupils could manage their dribbling, spacing and coordination activities while having certain constraints to deal with.

They had to dribble the football from one end of the hall to the other, while keeping the ball under control and having a bean bag balancing on their head! Slow and steady wins the race! They received 10 points for every time they managed to go to each end of the hall without losing control of the ball or dropping the bean bag!

The students also worked on movement drills, playing warm up games such as toe touch and trying to side step step/shuffle around the hula hoop. The aim of these drills is to improvement their various footwork patterns and ability to outmanoeuvre their competition. Skills needed in many different sports.
