P7BC continued with their 'Field of Poppies' artwork today! This Van Gogh inspired art work focused on the technique of Impressionism. This is an art movement showcased by using small, thin yet visible brush strokes. The focus is on capturing the light in the picture.
Mr Clarke didn’t want the pupils to be too focused on the dabs of paint as this can lose the composition of the art piece.
These look absolutely terrific!
They will be displayed in the classroom very soon!
