We have been trying hard to think about how we can improve our writing and extend our vocabulary.
Today we used Spring and some associated images to generate a discussion and create a word bank, thinking of impressive nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs.
We even thought about how alliteration, similes, idioms and personification could be used to describe Spring!🌼
Next, we cut up pieces of paper and wrote our thoughts on different pieces.
It was easy then to add ideas, change words to more ‘Wow words’ and juggle the pieces to make the best sentence we could.
Each of us ended up with super sentences. We are so proud of them! 👏
We now realise that ‘real writers’ don’t always get it right first time either!😀
