P6JH are Poets!๐Ÿ‘

4th Apr 2025

Following on from our super sentence writing last week, we decided to put our sentences together with the aim of writing a class poem.๐ŸŒผ

We worked in groups to make verses and then typed them onto Microsoft Word.

Finally, as a class, we edited the poem on screen by changing words, adding words and even cutting and pasting lines to another part of the poem if we thought it fitted better. There were lots of fantastic ideas and suggestions from the boys and girls.

Sharing language is a great way to widen our vocabulary.

Together, we ended up with this amazing poem. We are so proud of our work!๐Ÿ‘

Can you spot our use of alliteration, personification, similes, adverbs and more?๐Ÿ˜€

Read and enjoy!
