P6 Attend Ballymena Academy Taster Day

11th Jun 2025

Today our P6 pupils travelled to Ballymena Academy to get a feel for what life would be like if they choose to go there after they leave Camphill.

Throughout the day they took part in many activities, getting an idea of what might be taught in different subjects.

> PE - We played a variety of sports, learning about what sports are available to take in part in.

> Science - Physics - We built paper rockets and then fired them across the tennis courts to see who’s rocket travelled the furthest, we even had a winner for the whole day with Kaytlin and Pippa getting their rocket to travel 32.6m.

> Science - Biology - We looked at different insects and completed some investigations.

> Drama - We learnt about what the subject of Drama has to offer and watched an amazing performance from the junior drama group from Willy Wonka.

> Mandarin - We created some blow art, spun the handkerchiefs around and wrote our names in Mandarin too.

> Music - We made our own shakers and created some rhythms.

Thank you to everyone at Ballymena Academy who showed us exactly what their school has to offer.
