P5MM World Book Day

5th Mar 2026

We had a fantastic World Book Day in P5!

To start off, we had a look at all of our fabulous wooden spoons that we had decorated as book characters. We had a whole range of characters from Harry Potter to Toothless the Dragon! We also looked at the pictures we brought into school where we read in interesting places, some at the beach, some at gymnastics and some in our houses!

We used lots of our creativity when making Ten Word Tiny Tales based off our wooden spoon characters! We also visited P2, where we chose a book and read it to one of the P2 pupils. Everybody loved this activity and we hope we could do it again soon!

To finish off our day we went to the Book Fair! As you can see from the pictures we all had a great time choosing something new to read.
