| Spring Pupil Progress meetings with Class Teachers take place this week - Wk.bg. Mon 17th March - School closes at 12noon on St. Patrick's Day and the rest of the week at 1:30pm for all pupils. Little Stars/Big Stars will run from 1:30pm onwards from Tuesday - Friday. The school bus will run Tues- Fri at normal times - 2pm (pupils will be supervised in school until 2pm) & 3pm for Little Stars pupils.

🔢P5MM use ‘Number Talks’ for Mental Maths🔢
In Numeracy this year, we are focusing on Mental Maths at Camphill Primary School.
Mr McCullough, as Numeracy Coordinator, has been trialling a programme with P5MM pupils called ‘Number Talks.’
We really enjoy these sessions, as they give us the opportunity to share different strategies and to make use of these to carry out different calculations.
Once a question has been shared, we use hand signals to indicate how many strategies we can think of to answer the question.
These are explained, recorded on the board and discussed.
