We really enjoy practical work in Numeracy and we recently carried out some Capacity tasks.
We worked in groups to fill containers and measured these in millilitres.
A bigger challenge awaited us when we had lots of different sized containers and we had to order these according to their capacity. We also had to look at different ranges and see which containers fitted into a specific range e.g. which containers were more than 1/4 of a litre, but less than 1/2 a litre?
These were really fun activities!
