Today within Literacy, we all completed a ‘crop and chop’ poem.
We started off by studying a beautiful Autumn picture and recorded some words which came to mind.
We then answered 4 simple questions and recorded the answers in short sentences.
Next, we discussed how some of the words were repeated. This helped us to cross out any unnecessary words in our answers.
To help enhance our writing, we thought of two adjectives which described the noun in each line.
Finally, we were able to use this to put together a wonderful poem. Have a look at our brilliant Autumn poems! 🍁🚶♂️
