We had a very practical day of learning today!
Within Numeracy, we learnt how to calculate the perimeter of cuisennaire rods. This was a fun and engaging way of learning as we could move the rods to help us understand how the perimeter is calculated!
Next, without our World Around Us Topic, ‘Our Place in Space’, we learnt about UV light and the effects it has on our bodies. We used UV beads and different materials to find out which material is best for blocking UV light. This has taught us to wear our sun cream and sunglasses in this warm weather, as it was evident the UV light was very strong today! ☀️🕶️🧴
