On Thursday morning we visited Ballymena Library. Laura, a Library Assistant took us on a tour of the Children’s section of the library. We found out about how the books are organised into fiction and non fiction and then went on a book hunt to see if we could find some books with a partner. We listened to a story and talked about it. Then we organised some letters into alphabetical order as this is how the fiction books are arranged by author surname. Then we did a word search and a game before having some more time to look around the library ourselves and read a book. Laura explained how to join the library to be able to borrow books and showed us the library website which has ebooks and audio books to borrow as well. We had a fantastic morning and are excited to go again sometime to borrow some books ourselves!
