We have 3 winners!!! Our Valentine's Quiz was a huge success, thank you to everyone who entered! A big congratulations to The McKendry family who received 1st prize winning a £250 Galgorm voucher. Well done to 2nd prize winners the Murphy family winning a £50 Grouse voucher and to 3rd prize winner Lola Kirk winning a £20 Corner Bakery voucher. Enjoy! | P6/P7 congratulations!! What a show! Over 700 pupils and families enjoyed a show this week that was nothing short of spectacular. P4JC Action Mental Health Little Healthy Me Morning 😊

This morning Francesca from Action Mental Health came to our class to help us learn more about our mental health and how we can look after ourselves.

We learned about our brains and what they do. We found out that our thoughts, feelings and behaviour can be linked. Francesca showed us several different breathing techniques to help us feel calm.

We watched and joined in with several videos and songs which helped us to understand about our feelings and mental health. We looked at a mind jar and a well-being toolbox that we might like to make at home and thought about how these were like our calm box and corner in our classroom.

Francesca read us the story Ruby’s Worry and then we talked about it. We drew pictures of an adult we could share our worries with if we had them.

Francesca gave us a leaflet and pencil and left a booklet with Miss Crawford for us to look at and take home later in the week. We all had a fantastic morning and really enjoyed Francesca’s visit.
