P4AML write poems for Children’s Mental Health Week

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week we read the story of ‘The Colour Monster’.  We thought about the colours of each emotion and objects that were the same colour. We worked in groups to come up with ideas for similes using the word ‘like’. We then created individual poems using those ideas.

When we had written our poems we moved around the room to some music.  When the music stopped we found a partner and read our poems to each other. 

We covered all of our Take 5 steps - Be Active, Keep Learning, Give, Take Notice, Connect.
