P4AML enjoy Eco Day in the sunshine ☀️

24th Apr 2026
We came to school wearing something green today to enjoy lots of Eco activities.  First we made bug hotels out of old milk cartons, newspaper and tubes.  Then we went out to our boxes to help Mrs Anderson.  She told us lots of interesting facts and showed us a nest that had fallen out of a tree. We put our bees in our box, hung butterfly feeders on the fences and tasted some mint.

After break we had an RSPB Workshop led by our Eco helpers, Lexi and Emma. They showed us how to look for minibeasts, make hotels from natural materials and do some bird spotting.  We then had some fun at the playpark.

After lunch we planted sunflower seeds and finished our Eco colouring competitions.  We had such a busy and fun day!
