Summer Assessments take place over these next 3 weeks - starting on Monday 27th April..... (see more details in Parentmail sent on Weds 22nd April) All P3 -P7 pupils will be taking Standardised Tests in Literacy and Numeracy and will be timetabled to sit these tests in the ICT Suite - please make sure your child is in school each day during this assessment period. P4 enjoyed a visit from a Dentist 🦷

This morning we all came together for a visit from Murray’s Mum who is a Dentist.

She told us lots of information about how to look after our teeth.

We learned that our teeth should be brushed twice a day to clean all the surfaces.

We found out that while we are Primary School age a grown up should be helping us to brush our teeth to keep them healthy.

We talked about foods that are good for our teeth and those that are not so good for our teeth and are treats.

We enjoyed the Sugar Bug story that helped us understand what happens in our mouths when we eat sugary foods.

It was interesting to hear that it is better to have a treat after our meal rather than snacking in between meals to help reduce the effect ‘Sugar Bugs’ have on our teeth.
