P4 Assembly - 'The Wise Man and the Foolish Man'

28th Feb 2019

This morning P4 GM took KS1 /FS Assembly. We watched an animation explaining the story of the wise man and the foolish man. Some children explained the lessons we can learn from this Bible story. Mrs. McLarnon and some P4’s talked about Article 6 of the Children’s convention - 'Children have the right to a safe and secure place to live'. We examined how  through  wars, natural disasters and poverty children are denied this right. We talked about a boy in Yemen who had to leave his home because of ongoing conflict and a girl who suffered hardship because of an earthquake. On a positive note , we know that UNICEF are working all over the world to help children in difficult situations.
