Today we enjoyed a fantastic visit to Arthur Cottage.
From a distance we spied a small cottage and could smell something cooking 🍳. A lady and gentleman , dressed in traditional clothing from long ago, showed us around and talked to us. We were told how important fire 🔥 was in olden times as it was needed for cooking and to provide heat and light. We could hardly believe how small the cottage was and that a large family lived there. It was very interesting to see soda bread being baked and wool being spun. After sampling some of the soda bread , and asking some questions, we boarded the bus for our return journey.
