P3GM - World Mental Health Day

10th Oct 2022

We enjoyed celebrating World Mental Health day today. We considered what it is that makes us happy and what we could do more of to help our mood. We especially thought about getting time outside to play with our friends, take exercise and to breathe in the fresh air. After our class discussions, we all loved relaxing during a guided meditation. We loved lying on the ground with our eyes closed and deep breathing. Afterwards, we talked about how we felt calm, relaxed and happy after doing this activity. We then enjoyed a little bit of mindful colouring.

After lunch, we went outside to do some mindful walking. We looked around us at the autumn trees, the falling leaves. We even found conkers, mushrooms and feathers. We talked about what we could see, hear and smell outside.

Well done P3! You embraced all the activities so well and could all recognise the benefits of learning to relax and be mindful to the world around you.
