P2 LA enjoy World Book Day!

6th Mar 2025

We have had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day!

This morning, we started our day off by looking at everyone’s outfits and discussing what vocabulary they had dressed up as.

Then we read the story ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks. We all enjoyed making our own book and ladybird based on the story.

After break, we collected data using a tally chart to show which Fairytale story was our favourite and then we made a graph to show this information. We finished off by completing some problem solving using the Fairytale stories.

We also looked at how World Book Day ties into our Rights Respecting School work.
Article 28 - the right to an education and Article 31 - the right to play.
