P2 LA Eco Day!

1st May 2025

We had a fantastic Eco Day today in P2!

We started the day off in an Assembly by the USPCA and then went straight out to plant our Sunflower seeds.

After break our Eco reps, Olivia and Kaiya took us around the school grounds and told us information about hedgehogs, herbs, plants and trees. We really enjoyed going for a bug hunt as well!

Then it was time to plant our garden boxes. In our first one, we made a pirate treasure island, surrounded by sea and then plants around the edge. We all enjoyed making our stone crocodiles and our milk top gold coins for the treasure! In our second box, we planted different vegetable seeds and we can’t wait to see them grow!

We finished off our day in the outdoor classroom, where we had to find heavy, light, rough, smooth and different colours of nature objects. We collected these in our ‘Poet Tray’ and we are looking forward to making a Spring poem with these next week.

Many thanks to Mrs Anderson, Kaiya and Olivia for all of their help and hard work today!
