Our last 'Rights Respecting Schools' briefing for 2019

4th Dec 2019

On Tuesday 3rd of December we had a very quick summary of how the visit, in November, to W5 added to and confirmed our understanding of what the CRC is and how it is intrinsic to being a RRS school. Members of our School Council and RRRS Steering Group relayed to us some things that stood out for them that day.

We need to all be ambassadors for Rights

The CRC is thirty years old and millions of children have benefited from governments agreeing to ,and implementing ,the directives contained within it

We need adults to keep promoting and championing the Rights of children all around the world

We are going to raise money to buy vests for our SG members. We will hold an election to decide democratically on what colour they should be and what should be written on them

We all enjoyed our trip to W5!

Thank you so much to all the children who spoke out in front of the whole school- keep up the fantastic work you are doing in relaying and helping us to understand the Rights of children.
